As you already know, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software has the capability to capture your company’s contacts, leads, create cases and helps you communicate with your potential customers. There are many CRM software available in the market. This is a very big software segment with an annual turnover of close to 26 billion dollars.
In the Cloud-based CRM software model, the company develops and installs the software on the cloud servers. These servers are located in remote data centers around the world. They are mainly provided by companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google or Microsoft Azure. The server can be located anywhere in the world like in New York, London or Singapore.
The company developing the software installs the software on the server allocated to it and owns the software. It then offers it on a subscription basis to various customers. While one client company may subscribe to the software for ten users, another may subscribe it for 200 users. Since the software is installed on a cloud sever in a data center, it can be accessed from anywhere over the internet.
